Navigating GoDataFeed

Below is an overview of the sub-pages within the GoDataFeed app.

Each sub-page details the various features, tools, and functionality available on that page, as well as retailed articles to help you manage your product data more efficiently.

These pages are found under the 'Import' dropdown menu in the top navigation bar.

This page displays your products as they are imported into our App. On this page you can:

      • search products by SKU, name, price, brand, category and more
      • download a .CSV of your imported product data

        We highly recommend  downloading your Catalog to review data issues and to reference while you set up your feeds

      • trigger a manual import to fetch your product data from your source in real-time

When your product data imports into our App, your Source fields of data (for example: SKU, product title, etc.) are automatically mapped to our System fields, which are used to map feeds.

This page displays the mappings between our internal system fields in the left column, and your product source fields.

If you have specific field settings, on this page you can:

      • update labels to help you identify your product fields
      • use the editor to make bulk import mapping changes

On this page you can:

      • create product filters for a monthly fee that prevent certain products from being imported into our App

On this page you can:

      • control the total number of SKUs you need imported into our App 

        Allotment is set at 1,000 SKU intervals, so you will need to round up to the nearest whole interval

      • set the time(s) of day and the days that your product data is imported into our App
      • add additional import times if included in your subscription, or for an additional monthly fee if not included in your current plan

This page contains the Primary Source settings you configured when setting up your GoDataFeed account.

If you need to change your primary source we highly recommend you open a ticket with our Support team as this is a destructive action.

On this page you can upload supplemental files of product data you wish to use in your feeds. 

For example, you have a file external to your shopping cart platform where you maintain optimizations, product codes, promotional information or more that you need to bring into GoDataFeed.

On this page you can create rules that modify the imported product data at the Account level so your optimizations and data edits are readily available for all of your feeds. Import rules

On this page you can:

      • add a list of SKUs you would like to target or set logic for in your feed(s) (example: upcoming sale products)
      • add a list of supplemental attributes to use to lookup and extract catalog values 
      • edit the default Colors or Sizes lists

On this page you can:

      • set a threshold (% of products) that would fail the import if your average number of products drops below that threshold

        If the threshold is met, the previous product data will remain so your feeds do not experience any issues. You will be notified by email the import failed.

On this page you can:

      • add email addresses of recipients of import status emails
      • select any additional import events you would like the recipients to receive notifications for

On this page you can review your entire Import history, including:

      • the date and time of previous imports
      • the status of previous imports
      • total number of products imported
      • total number of products found
      • the duration of previous imports
      • download options: catalog file, manifest file, or source files of previous imports

These pages are found within each channel feed template in the left-side menu. Below are the 7 key pages you will visit when setting up, submitting, and reviewing your feed.

This page displays:

      • validation messages for you to review feed errors, warnings, and optimization opportunities - simply click on one to begin your review

        We recommend reviewing Feed errors first as these products are excluded from your feed until the data issue is resolved.

      • the Feed Products table, search products in the feed, review your product data as well as each product's status

      • the Feed Editor, click the blue "Edit" button to make manually edits to the feed

  1. clicking to select from a list of your product fields

On this page you will find:

  1. a 'General settings' card where you can enable email notifications for feed events like feed succeeds or feed fails
  2. a 'Feed Pull' card where you can generate a feed pull URL to provide to the channel
  3. a 'Feed submission' card you will need to complete with channel parameters to complete your feed submission and set the feed submission schedule

On this page you can review your entire feed history for this channel, including:
      • the date and time of previous feed submission
      • the associated message
      • the number of products compiled
      • the duration of the compilation
      • the number of errors, warnings, optimizations, and included SKUs in the compilation
      • the total number of products submitted to the channel
      • the duration of the submission or feed pull
      • download options
