Feed categorization by mapping your own categories and creating rules

There are two ways to categorize products in your feed: mapping and rules.

GoDataFeed's category mapping makes categorizing products fast and easy. We look at your imported categories from your store and suggest matching categories from the channel. Most categories will yield suggested matches, but some categories will return 'No Matches Found.' For these unmatched categories, you will need to create category rules.

Category Mapping

  1. Go to the Feeds tab from the top-left navigation bar
  2. Select the desired feed template
  3. Select Categories from the sidebar menu within the feed page
  4. Click Mapping
  5. Select from the suggested categories in the drop-down next to each category of your source data
  6. Save

You can also create category rules to override category mapping.

You can create as many category rules as you need, and change their processing sequence.

Note: Category rules are applied in chronological order. This means that the last category rule will always override any previous rules if they are in conflict.
