Order Sync Destination: WooCommerce
Connecting WooCommerce for Order Sync
To sync orders with WooCommerce, you need to have the correct credentials. These credentials are automatically obtained from the import and include:
-
API URL
-
Consumer Key
-
Consumer Secret Key
If the import has not been connected yet, follow the steps in this guide: WooCommerce Importing Products.
Enabling Marketplace Remitted Tax
Orders include an additional parameter called "Send Marketplace Remitted Tax". Enabling this setting ensures that the sales tax collected by the marketplace is included when orders are inserted into WooCommerce.
Order Status and Fulfillment
WooCommerce requires the order tracking number to be retrieved from the order notes. This is essential for updating the order status correctly.
-
If an order is marked as Completed, the system will check the order notes for a valid tracking number.
-
If no tracking number is found, the order will remain in Processing until it is added.
-
Once the tracking number is detected, the order status will change to Shipped.
-
If an order is Cancelled, it will be marked accordingly in WooCommerce.
Required Format for Tracking Numbers:
-
The tracking number must be included in the order notes.
-
It should follow this format:
tracking number: [your tracking number]
Matching Shipping Methods
For successful order insertion, the shipping methods in GoDataFeed’s Marketplace Sources settings must match the shipping methods configured in WooCommerce.
To ensure compatibility:
-
The Shipping Service Name (e.g., "USPS", "FedEx Residential") must match the name in WooCommerce.
-
The Shipping Service Value (e.g., "USPS Ground Advantage", "FedEx Home Delivery") must match the corresponding shipping method value in WooCommerce.
-
If the shipping method has additional service metadata (e.g., USPS service types), ensure these settings align between GoDataFeed and WooCommerce.
If the shipping mapping is incorrect or missing, orders may fail to sync properly.
Order Insertion Process
When a new order is inserted into WooCommerce:
-
The order details, including customer information, payment status, and line items, are prepared.
-
Shipping details are assigned based on the matching shipping methods.
-
Order metadata, including order source and attribution, is added.
-
The order is submitted to WooCommerce and assigned an order number.
By following these steps, you can ensure a smooth order synchronization process between GoDataFeed and WooCommerce.
