Overview

The Pinterest Store feed template allows you to upload and manage your physical store locations in Pinterest.

Store locations are required before publishing a Local Inventory feed. Pinterest uses this information to associate products with nearby stores and display store-specific inventory and pricing.

Setting up a Store feed is what makes it possible to show shoppers accurate, location-specific details — like whether an item is in stock nearby, its local price, and how far away the store is. It's also what unlocks local call-to-action options such as In stock near you, Order local delivery, and Pick up in store, which help drive both online and in-store sales for retailers with physical locations.

Before you begin

Before publishing your Store feed, make sure you have:

  • A Pinterest Business account
  • A Retail Catalog created in Pinterest
  • A Pinterest Store feed configured in GoDataFeed
  • A Hosted Feed URL
  • A unique Store Code for each store location

Publishing from GoDataFeed

  1. Open your Pinterest Store feed.
  2. Complete the required field mappings.
  3. Generate the feed.
  4. Copy the Hosted Feed URL.

Uploading your Store Feed to Pinterest

Step 1: Open the Store Feed upload

In Pinterest Ads Manager:

  1. Open your Retail Catalog.
  2. Navigate to Data Sources.
  3. Select the Supplementary Data Source tab.
  4. Click Manage Stores.

Step 2: Upload your Store Feed

  1. Download Pinterest's CSV template if needed.
  2. Upload your Store feed.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Review the imported locations.
  5. Finish creating your stores.

Step 3: Verify your stores

After processing:

  • Confirm all stores were imported.
  • Verify Store Codes.
  • Make sure every location includes either:
    • Latitude and Longitude, or
    • A complete address.

Tips

Best Practices

  • Don't use Manage Regions for Local Inventory Ads.
  • Every store must have a unique Store Code.
  • Include either Latitude/Longitude or Address information.
  • Keep the feed UTF-8 encoded.
  • Wrap values in quotes to avoid parsing issues.
  • Use the Action column when creating, updating, or deleting stores.

Troubleshooting

  • Open Manage Stores.
  • Select View Import and Export History.
  • Review the Status column.
  • Download the error report if the import failed.
  • Correct the errors and upload the Store feed again.

Troubleshooting in GoDataFeed

  • Feed doesn't import
  • Missing required fields (Store Code, Name, or Country)
  • Duplicate Store Codes across locations
  • Missing Latitude/Longitude or Address for a store

What's next after your Store feed?

Uploading your store locations is only half the setup — Pinterest needs a Local Inventory feed to actually connect products to the stores you just created.

Publish your Local Inventory feed

Once your store locations are live, publish your Local Inventory feed to link products to them and enable store-specific pricing and availability. See Feed: Publishing a Local Inventory Feed to Pinterest.

Not looking for local inventory?

If you're just getting started with Pinterest and don't need store-level data, see Feed: Pinterest - Publishing a feed to Pinterest. If you want to promote branded content, lifestyle imagery, or video that isn't tied to individual products, use a Creative Catalog instead. See Feed: Pinterest Creative Catalog.
