Do I need to be approved before using the Perplexity feed template?

Yes. Perplexity runs an application-based merchant program, and acceptance is required before your product data can be used by Perplexity. Building the feed in GoDataFeed does not create a Perplexity account or grant program access on your behalf. Apply directly with Perplexity using their merchant program application, and review the Perplexity shopping announcement for current program details. Shopify merchants should also review Shopify's guidance on Perplexity shopping, since onboarding may differ depending on how your store is connected.

How do I set up the Perplexity feed in GoDataFeed?

Once Perplexity has confirmed your acceptance, the setup follows the standard GoDataFeed channel flow. Or you can request a feed setup by GoDataFeed for the team to set this up for you. 

1. Confirm your acceptance into the Perplexity Merchant Program.
2. In GoDataFeed, open Channels and select Add Channel.
3. Search for Perplexity and select the template.
4. Map your required product attributes, including title, description, link, image link, price, availability, brand, condition, and unique product identifiers such as GTIN or MPN.
5. Save the feed and let it compile. Review once complete. 
6. Our feed template provides feed's in a feed pull URL or as an FTP or SFTP output. 
7. Provide your feed to Perplexity using the delivery method they specify within your perplexity account.

Can I use the GoDataFeed Perplexity template without joining the merchant program?

You can build and compile the feed in GoDataFeed at any time, but Perplexity will not use your product data until you have been accepted into their merchant program. Apply with Perplexity first so your feed is ready to deliver as soon as you are approved and confirm how you should submit the feed to them. 

How do I apply to the Perplexity Merchant Program?

Perplexity accepts applications through their own merchant program form. Submit your details at the Perplexity merchant program application. GoDataFeed does not review, approve, or expedite these applications, and approval timelines are set by Perplexity.

Does GoDataFeed submit my feed to Perplexity automatically?

GoDataFeed builds, optimizes, and hosts your Perplexity feed on your normal update schedule. Delivery depends on the method Perplexity assigns you during onboarding, so follow the instructions they provide after your application is accepted.

My Perplexity application was denied. Can GoDataFeed help?

Program eligibility decisions are made entirely by Perplexity, so appeals and eligibility questions go to Perplexity directly. The GoDataFeed support team can still help with feed structure, attribute mapping, and data quality so your catalog is in good shape for a future application.
