Import: Merge file - eBay REST Inventory File

Overview
This guide provides step-by-step instructions on using eBay’s REST API to merge inventory data into your primary source via Merge Files.


Pre-requisites
To connect to eBay via REST, you’ll need:

  • A valid Refresh Token

  • (Optional) Marketplace ID (leave blank for EBAY_US)


What fields are in the eBay merge file?

Label Merge File Field Name
Product SKU ebay_sku
Item ID ebay_itemId
Parentage (Child, Parent) ebay_parentage
Inventory Quantity ebay_quantity
Product Price ebay_price
Parent SKU (Variant Only) ebay_parentSku
Currency ID ebay_currency

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Go to Imports > Merge Files

  2. Click the Add button

  3. Select eBay Inventory from the dropdown list

  4. Paste your Refresh Token (Optional: Enter Marketplace ID or leave blank for EBAY_US)

  5. Ensure merge field names use the ebay_ prefix (e.g., ebay_itemId, ebay_quantity)

  6. Save and run your import


Steps for Existing eBay Feed Users

  1. Go to Feeds and select your eBay feed

  2. After a successful connection, open the Feed Settings

  3. Scroll to Feed Submission and unhide your Refresh Token

  4. Use this token in the Merge Files section as outlined above


After Import: Review Your Catalog

  • Navigate to Import > Catalog

  • Click Download

  • Open the .csv file to confirm the eBay fields have merged correctly

  • Fields will be automatically mapped to available custom fields in your import mapping
