AI rules enable you to optimize your feed with AI-generated optimizations like titles and descriptions. Powered by GoDataFeed’s integration with OpenAI, tailored prompts use feed data specifications and industry best practices to generate AI content designed to enhance your sales performance.
How it works
AI rules are driven by string functions (all string functions appended with 'AI'). These AI string functions contain the custom prompts that generate optimized values. When added to a feed and set to a feed field, the string functions will create the AI field and run the corresponding prompt that will generate optimizations upon compilation for the feed field you select.
Current available AI functions
✅ Beta_Titles
✅ Beta_Descriptions
Because these AI functions are still in beta, AI-generated values may evolve as we improve accuracy and performance.
Note: GoDataFeed does not review or validate AI-generated content. Please review all AI values after compiling the feed. Keep in mind your feed submission and pull schedules. You can disable AI rules at any time to restore your mapped title and description values.
Where to find and enable the Beta for AI Titles and AI Descriptions
-
In your Google Shopping Merchant Center feed, you will find a 'Try AI' button — click the button.
-
It will then generate an 'AI Preview' that displays 3 SKUs with AI title and AI descriptions columns highlighted in blue.
-
If you would like to apply the AI rules, click the "Apply AI Rules" button.
-
Once you apply the AI rules, you can click "Compile feed" to trigger compilation (which will generate your optimized values), or click "View rule settings" if you'd like to apply the rules to only some products.
Where to review AI-optimized values feed fields in App
Once the feed compilation is complete, you can click the "Download" button in the feed navigation to download the feed file. You will see the AI-generated data in the [title] and [description] fields.
AI-generated values are processed in batches of 10,000 SKUs per compilation.
If your catalog has 10,000 products or fewer, all products will be included in a single compilation.
If your catalog has more than 10,000 products, your feed will be split into multiple compilations (e.g., a 20,000-product catalog will require 2 compilations).
To review within App, on the 'Feed' page you can sort the table by clicking the 'Status:' dropdown > select 'AI Optimizations' > click the blue search button on the right side of the table to filter. Any AI-generated fields will display the original value (before) and AI-generated values (AI), as highlighted here:
How to further optimize, edit, or disable AI rules
If you would like to edit or disable AI rules, navigate to your feed's 'Rules' page. In the Rules list you will see the AI rules: 'AI Titles' and 'AI Descriptions' added at the bottom of the list.
By default, the Beta_Titles AI function will analyze:
- your product SKUs
- your product titles
- your product descriptions
By default, AI rules are applied to all products in your feed. If you would like to set an AI rule to only some products, click to open AI rule you would like to edit, toggle 'Some products' and set conditions that will apply the AI rule to only particular products that meet these conditions.
To disable an AI rule, you can click the green ON status button to toggle it OFF, or click the red 'X' button to delete the rule, both highlighted here:
